Merry Christmas to Me

This morning, I received a 2nd e-mail from my local quilt shop reminding me of their big sale - All pre-cut half-yard pieces were on sale for $3.75 each or 3 for $10. Well, it would be silly not to buy at least 3....or 6. I actually went there to get some holiday half-yards, but that was pretty much picked through, so I only got 3 of the holiday fabrics......
....and 3 of some other fabric that I just love!!! I'm going to love it when I open it on Christmas morning. Yep, that's right....I'm handing it over to my hubby to wrap up for Christmas. As sad as it is to hand it over, I know I'll be just as excited when I open that gift on Christmas morning as I was today when I bought it.

Oh....okay....I'll go ahead and show it off.

Isn't it beautiful?? I have no idea what I'm going to make with it, but I will make something....some day.

Still working on my surprise project that I mentioned recently. I'm sure all of you are wondering if you're going to be the recipient of this sweet thing, but you'll just have to wait and see. Maybe it's a Christmas gift for someone special. Maybe it's a birthday gift for one of you. Maybe it's just because you're special. you're really wondering, aren't you?  I'm expecting that I'll be finished this weekend, but I won't be able to post about it until I give it away. So stay tuned!

Oh more thing! It's time for nominations  in the Bloggers' Quilt Festival over at Amy's Creative Side.  Just in case you want to vote for my quilt, it's #337.  :)

  1. I tried again, and it is still not letting me vote. Hmpf. Gonna keep trying. I LOVE your present that you got yourself. And that you're giving it to your husband to wrap. :) And that blue and gold holiday fabric is stunning. So different than traditional green and red, I love it.

p.s. If any quilt jammers want to vote for mine, it's #22. hehe

  2. I voted! That vote definitely deserves recognition, Lisa!!

And I love the fabrics you picked out. The fun thing about giving part of them to wrap for Christmas is that you'll be delighted all over again when you open them! :)

Thanks for stopping by Lisa Lisa and the Quilt Jam! I love to receive comments, and read each and every one of them!
